The Ratschings-Jaufen ski school was founded in 1973 by four ski instructors. The ski lessons first took place in Kalch and on the Jaufen.

In January 1974 the Rinnerlift in Ratschings went into operation and a little later the 2-seater chairlift from Bichl.

This year the ski school moved to a small office at the valley station of the chairlift, where guests could book their ski lessons.

The Ratschings ski area developed quickly and the ski school also had to increase the number of ski instructors by sending young, talented skiers for the ski instructor formation course.

To this day, the ski school is on the upswing and employs a large number of local, certified ski instructors who are constantly training and have a range of specializations, from children's lessons to ski racing.
